Personal speed development is aided by modern training methods

There will always be those who insist that we go back to our old, familiar ways of life. Why? If a better way exists, to what would we be returning? In sports, going back would mean returning to salt tablets, heat stroke, sudden forced weight loss, and, if you attended my school, unending defeat. Recently, however, coaches have been implementing speed development as a team-wide effort, not just for the naturally quick players. This has resulted in or from an increased interest in the study of efficient physical motion, and the wide reaching, long term positive effects of this new mode of thinking are only beginning to be realized.
