The reverse lookup is just another vector for DoS attacks since DNS itself is not secure.  In other words, after a reverse lookup is performed, a forward lookup is performed on the result.  A cell phone search new york is useful in many ways.  And there are many times when a cell phone number reverse lookup is a good thing to do.  If reverse lookup is deprecated for IPv6, then certain types of network misconfigurations/possible attacks will get *harder* to deal with, not easier.  The reverse lookup is used by many programs that will refuse to talk to you if the reverse lookup and the forward lookup are not allowed.
