Lose a loved one? find a probate attorney

August 13th, 2008 by admin

If you come from a big family and you lose your mother or father my advice is to find a probate attorney. The management of the affairs of the deceased person starts immediately after death and they can last years.  Usually the person responsible is the executor of the estate. Executors should find a probate attorney before selling, transferring or discarding any estate assets. The reason why executors should find a probate attorney is that the executor could be sued by family members or beneficiaries of the estate if a mistake is made. When you think of all the duties involved and the risk the first priority I think is to find a probate attorney who is experienced and knowledgeable and based in the deceased persons state.
