 Today, there are more reward based dog training devices than you might realize.  In particular, you may want to use toning devices.  When your dog is behaving properly, the device will emit a sound that your dog will enjoy.  On the other hand, you may also want to use biscuits, or play time with a favored toy as rewards.  As may be expected, once you start getting to know your dog’s personality, you may find that there are all kinds of ways, as well as devices that can be used to reward good behavior.  At the same time, you will find that rewards will always tend to work better than punishment.
