The Office of Fair Trading has launched an in-depth investigation into holiday scams involving scratch cards. For example, one method used in Spain is to entice people to go on holidays that they win via special scratch cards. After they have ‘won’ their holiday prize, they go to a presentation where they give the people who scam lots of money. Of course, there is no actual holiday and Scratch Card is a dud. Please be aware when you win a holiday from a scratch card, that you research the organisers of the trip and do your homework before handing any money over.
