When buying women’s sweaters, you need to allow for shrinkage

I know that women’s sweaters can be very bulky — and not exactly complementary to your figure — but don’t make the mistake of buying a sweater without making allowance for the inevitable shrinkage. Even if you purchase 100% Cotton Women’s Sweaters, over time your sweater can shrink quite a bit — and if you have purchased a size very close to your actual shirt size or blouse size, you may find yourself owning a sweater that you can no longer wear comfortably. It is always a good idea to purchase a new sweater that is at least one or two sizes larger — remember that you can always bunch of your sleeves a bit in the meantime. In fact, most people prefer to have a loose fitting sweater, just to allow for extra room in case they wear it on top of other garments.
