Solar Lights in our Yard

We used a set of Solar Lights in our yard and were generally pleased with them. It was a set of about a half dozen, and they came with lightweight metal tubes on which the lights would hang. There was also the option of staking them almost at ground level using plastic spikes. The lights themselves were actually quite attractive in a brown plastic molded to resemble "Arts and Crafts" style lamps. Each light had solar cells on top and two rechargeable ni-cad batteries inside to store the charge until needed at night. An LED (light emitting diode) inside each lamp supplied the light. Of course, one LED didn’t produce the same illumination that an incandescent bulb would produce, but the light was adequate to light the garden path, and it would stay lighted until daybreak.
