The Christmas 2009, holiday season is rapidly approaching. Every year as I drive around my neighborhood, I see numerous houses with seemingly thousands of outside Christmas lights. I often wonder how much it costs the homeowners to provide power to such monstrous displays. Since the price of electricity has gone up and the green lifestyle has become the ‘in thing’ to do, perhaps this is the year that the ‘Residential Solar Power‘ option will become a reality. With technological advances that seem to come about at ‘light speeds’, there are actually solar powered, Christmas lights on the market. Perhaps I’ll join the crowd and build my own monstrosity lighting display, this year.
