I have lived in 5 homes in 3 different states over the last 15 years and the very first thing I do is test for drinking water contamination. In 4 of the 5 homes the water barely passed the EPA’s standard for safe drinking water and the 5th failed. I think this shows that drinking water contamination is a way to common problem. There is something you as an individual can do to keep YOUR drinking water safe though. What I do is install two filtrations systems one to cover all the water coming into the house and the other to again filter the water I drink and cook with. The cost is more that reasonable for the safety it provides me.
