Bodybuilding Done The Right Way

November 10th, 2009 by admin

Bodybuilding can be a great way to help shape your body into a lean, mean, fighting machine. It can help you get healthy, as well as look and feel stronger. Bodybuilding should be done in moderation, and not over done. First, one must start small with free weights and then as you progress with your workout, increase the weight and move to machines. On the machines, do a few sets of low reps, but then increase the amount of reps, and then the weight. The amount of reps you do is the most important, not necessarily the weight since the amount of reps means that you use your muscles more often. Effective bodybuilding can really sculpt your body.

Personal speed development is aided by modern training methods

October 30th, 2009 by admin

There will always be those who insist that we go back to our old, familiar ways of life. Why? If a better way exists, to what would we be returning? In sports, going back would mean returning to salt tablets, heat stroke, sudden forced weight loss, and, if you attended my school, unending defeat. Recently, however, coaches have been implementing speed development as a team-wide effort, not just for the naturally quick players. This has resulted in or from an increased interest in the study of efficient physical motion, and the wide reaching, long term positive effects of this new mode of thinking are only beginning to be realized.

Good Luck On Your Sprint Triathlon

October 16th, 2009 by admin

I know that a lot of people don’t believe in luck, especially when it comes to training for a sport. I do think that luck has something to do with success on sprint triathlon race day. You never know what the weather is going to be like or the conditions of the road or trail so luck plays a factor. Why? The guy that trains in hot weather every single day and then shows up to a rainy day race does not have luck on his side. The guy that trains in rain every single day will have the advantage over him.

Walking for Weight Control

September 30th, 2009 by admin

When the scales at the doctor’s office showed a ten pound gain since my last annual physical, I was shocked. My doctor told me I needed to decide right then if I was going to let the weight creep up and up or if I was going to take control. For most of us, putting onweight as we age is very easy to do. Getting it off takes commitment. I decided on the commitment. My doctor suggested walking as a safe, easy way to get back in shape. Walking in my neighborhood after I get home form work wasn’t an option soi decided to get a treadmill. the Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill was my choice because off it’s reliability, quiet operation and storability. The weight is under control and I’m still walking four times a a week to keep it off.

For 2010, Easton Synergy is following up their successful models

September 10th, 2009 by admin

For 2010, Easton Synergy is following up their successful models of previous years with the same overall design philosophy, but they’ve added stiff-handled versions. This is reflected in their marketing efforts for this year - continuing their efforts to provide the consumer with detailed information, descriptions of their baseball bats now include a number which indicates the stiffness of the handle (the higher the number, the stiffer the handle). Easton now provides the consumer with information about the handle flex rating, swingweight (MOI), and hitting area for every bat in their lineup, information which other bat manufacturers would be well-advised to provide as well or risk being left behind. Buyers should note that their line of composite bats, previously called the Stealth/Synergy IMX, are now relabelled as Stealth/Synergy Speed. Also check out My Bat Recommendations for a breakdown of recommended bats by material and price!

Medicus Training Club

September 2nd, 2009 by admin

Everyone knows how hard golf is.  It is probably the most technical sport there is! There are so many things you can do wrong when you are swinging the club.  Well, there is a new innovation out there designed to give golfers the perfect swing.  It is called the Medicus Club and is absolutely amazing.  It has two hinges near the head of the club that are designed to come unhinged if any part of the stroke is incorrect. So the golfer can immediately know where his stroke is breaking down.  Once the stroke is corrected, he can continue to practice with the club and gain confidence with every stroke!

The Future Of Walking The Golf Course Is Here

August 21st, 2009 by admin

I remember being a kid and turning one of my remote control cars into a robot.  Or at least I thought it was a robot.  So the other day when I saw an electric golf trolley, I knew exactly where the dream came from in that invention.  I would often take things that had some kind of remote control and turn it into something else.  I now love the idea of taking my golf clubs, putting them on a cart, and controlling it without using force.  I love golf, but this has made me love it even more.  I cannot imagine my game without it.

Importance of table tennis cover

August 17th, 2009 by admin

My ping pong table is a competition size, heavy metal surface, gleaming piece of gaming item which I absolutely love. I can’t imagine even a single scratch on its surface. It’s been 5 years since I own it, but it looks as good as new. Thanks to my table tennis cover. This cover is made of PVC material, which I feel is one of the toughest materials to protect expensive items such as a ping pong table. It’s all the more important to buy a cover for your table when you have children running around in the house. You never know when their curiosity gets better of them and they make an imaginative drawing right on your table tennis table surface!

My Husband Was a Wrestler

August 16th, 2009 by admin

When my husband was in high school, he wrestled. In fact, all his brothers did. They are all pretty small guys, but really quick and strong. They weren’t really big enough to play football and definitely too short for basketball, so wrestling it was. They always had to worry about weighing in before each match. They actually used those sauna suits to get down under their weight limits. I guess they make you sweat and you can actually lose three or four pounds in just water. That was often all it took to get them weighed in correctly. He always said he really enjoyed wrestling and remembers it fondly.
