  Recently there was an earthquake, I don’t think I’d need get into the details of the destructions and hopelessness that follows. But I can tell you this, after my home was almost completely flattened, I was thankful for two things: that I was alive, and that I hadn’t family because if any of them were to be hurt, I don’t know how I’d react. The entire community was in shock, no one really knew what to do or how to react, there was no running water, and little means to prepare food. But I knew I needed sustenance until helped arrived, so I did something that most people would never consider.
