Where can I find something inexpensive?

August 9th, 2008 by admin

I have just gotten a new apartment in a nice building, and I want to decorate it nicely so I am not embarrassed to have company over to visit. Everyone here seems to have really nice things. I can’t afford to get new furniture, but I was thinking maybe I can buy art to decorate the walls and give the place a little more class. However, I am not sure where I should go for this. Can anyone tell me where I can buy some nice art that isn’t too expensive? I think that prints would probably be my best bet.

A Tight Quilling Circle

July 13th, 2008 by admin

Obviously quilled craft works are comprised of lots of different shapes each made individually by the quilter.  Because of this each quilter will have their own unique shapes and techniques but there are, of course, lots of standard quilling shapes.  One of the most useful shapes to master is the circle.  The circle can be either tight or loose with a tight circle being one of the easiest shapes to do well.  To make a tight circle use a strip of paper between 4 and 5 inches long by 1/8 inch wide.  Moisten one end and wind tightly around your quilling tool pressing the paper with your thumb.  When fully wound glue one end and hold until dry.  The finished tight circle can be used for the centres of flowers.

Scared By Salsa Dance Lessons

July 12th, 2008 by admin

Since joining a little gathering of pupils for Salsa Dance Lessons, I have seen a new side to my persona; I am in reality having fun, and this is occurring more and more in my little life, and I have the Factory Gym to thank for this. The trainer really brings pupils out of their shells, and she REALLY knows her stuff. Its so relaxing understanding you are amongst friends, and can make a chump of yourself occasionally.I hope you can join me at the gym for some exciting dancing, as well as keeping in trim whilst having fun too. Its really good value, and they cater to all tastes.

Polynesian tattoos

July 10th, 2008 by admin

Some of the most beautiful tattoos that I have seen are Polynesian tattoos. They cover a broad range of tattoo styles such as Hawaiian, Maori, Samoan, Marquesan, and Tahitian. If you’re interested in getting a polynesian tattoo, the first thing you should do is research the many meanings behind the symbols that are used. There are online resources that will help you with this, and you can also take a look at the pictures of the different types of designs. Be sure to also find a tattoo artist that specializes in polynesian style tattoos to make sure that it is done correctly.

The Perfect Tattoo

July 5th, 2008 by admin

I just turned twenty one and need to find the perfect tattoo. I always said when I turned twenty one I would get a tattoo. Well, the year has finally arrived. I am looking for some cross tattoos. I figured going on line is the best way to find a large variety. I found a cool site where they had thousands to look at. I finally picked out a couple cross tattoo designs. I was able to get them to my place before my birthday - so now it becomes a present to myself. The tattoo date is set for my birthday - I cannot wait!

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, California

June 29th, 2008 by admin

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area near Redding is a terrific place to spend a day or a few nights on a camping trip. Whiskeytown Lake offers visitors the opportunity to fish, take a boat ride, or swim and relax on the beach. There are also many trails to explore throughout the Park. You can hike, mountain bike, horseback ride or take a 4-wheel tour at Whiskeytown Park. Although the four beaches and the cool, clear waters of Whiskeytown Lake are one of its biggest attractions, hikers at Whiskeytown Park enjoy seeing the four impressive waterfalls here. There are two picnic sites at Crystal Creek Falls if you would like to enjoy a spectacular view of waterfalls during lunch. There are also eight streams at the Park that are accessible via the trails here, and there are many opportunities to view wildlife and watch for birds.RV, tent and primitive camping is available at Whiskeytown, and boats can be launched at Brandy Creek Marina, Oak Bottom and Whiskey Creek.

Chair Covers for the Wedding Party?

June 28th, 2008 by admin

We are having a rather small wedding in Hawaii and we have only a select few family and friends join us for the ceremony. Both my future wife and I have been married before so we do not want to drag a lot of people into a humongous celebration again. We do have a few people in the wedding party and we want to make sure we acknowledge them. I am looking for great discount groomsman and best man products for vacation weddings. I did see personalized chair covers that I think will be great for the entire wedding party.

Advance in tattoo technology.

June 27th, 2008 by admin

In recent years, tattoos are enjoying the limelight. Some time back, the only people with tattoo designs were sailors, soldiers or the biker gangs who listen to certain music styles. Nowadays, no one will be surprised even if they find their mom browsing the latest tattoo designs on the internet. Its just become so commonplace.

Actually this has a lot to do with the improvements in tattoo technology and the way a person gets inked; this has enabled real tattoo artists to make really amazing and delicate designs, where as before it was quite difficult to transfer what was in ones mind, to the skin. Now it is a common occuring for the very best tattooists to have formal fine art or technical art qualifications so as to be able to use the technology available and provide the best to his/her customers.

Bubble Wrap - The Pro ScrapBookers’ Choice

June 24th, 2008 by admin

Well, you may not have bubble wrap high on your list of scrapbook supplies, but did you know it is a great tool for customizing your layout? If you haven’t seen or heard about this yet, you definitely should check it out!

You can use bubble wrap as a stamp - just ink or paint it up and then gently apply to your pages for a rough polka-dot look. This can be used a variety of ways.

It can be your main layout frame, and could even be combined in several colors to give an added depth.  Using different sizes of bubble wrap, combined with different colors, you can come up with a ton of different looks.

You can also fill in that odd bit of whitespace where nothing else really fits. Don’t forget to use a wild or bold color to highlight an area.

Bubble wrap is a great tool for us, don’t count it out!

Become a fashion designer - Look to Magazines

June 24th, 2008 by admin

My best friend who I grew up with since first grade, has never really shown interest in schoolwork. Sure, she does what she has to do to pass, but it just does not seem like she really cares. One thing I have always noticed about her is the fact she always had at least two different fashion magazines with her. Sometimes I would catch her writing in a notebook, but I never knew why. So one day I asked and she let me know she was writing down her ideas so she could use them in the future. After high school, she decided her dream was to become a fashion designer and I know she will make it.

Finding wedding dance lessons in Sydney

June 16th, 2008 by admin

Being in a new place with very few contacts is making finding wedding dance lessons in Sydney very challenging. Coming here for the big family wedding and finding out that I am in the wedding party has made dance lessons an issue for me. I need to look like I know what I am doing out on the dance floor. Not to mention that the guy I am going to the wedding with just happens to be a great dancer. It is time for me to find those dance lessons and bite the bullet, so to speak. I will become a dancer!

Seperating The Professionals From The Amateurs

May 28th, 2008 by admin

I’ve always disliked water color paintings. Perhaps it’s my memories from kindergarten. While they were fun to make they always made the paper curl and warp into a permanent pittedness that seemed to resemble Einstein’s theory of gravity. That’s until I happened to go to a gallery showing of a painter who had several watercolor paintings for sale. I asked them why their paper didn’t warp since they were obviously not using canvas. She said it was the paper she used. I think it was called arches, but I could be totally misremembering. After that I had a whole new appreciation for watercolors done professionally.

May 20th, 2008 by admin

There are oh so many hobbies and pastimes that we could get involved in, but for many they simply believe that we should all learn how to paint. If you are looking for the best hobby in the world why don’t you learn how to paint today.

Why should you want to feel good?

May 10th, 2008 by admin

A lot of people walk around all day and see the same old scenes, the same people and the same old scenery. When a new commercial comes on television we take notice because its different. But when we see an advertisement on a poster that is full of vibrant and tropical colors and appeal we tend to stop in our tracks and take notice. We really want to soak in the colors and the intrigue that comes with this type of captivating picture. Hawaiian Arm Tattoos are like this picture in that they really make you stop in your tracks to stare!
