South Dakota taxes everyone

What does South Dakota tourism bring to the state? Why, money of course. That and a little pride and some free advertising. Every state wants as many people (read that taxpayers) to move into their state as possible. Now South Dakota doesn’t have a lot to offer people by way of jobs except in the tourism industry. The government gets it on both ends, they get the money from the income taxes of the people the persuade to move to the state and they get the sales taxes from the tourists they attract. Everyone knows that government loves to get as much money as they can just so they can have the power.
