Seperating The Professionals From The Amateurs

I’ve always disliked water color paintings. Perhaps it’s my memories from kindergarten. While they were fun to make they always made the paper curl and warp into a permanent pittedness that seemed to resemble Einstein’s theory of gravity. That’s until I happened to go to a gallery showing of a painter who had several watercolor paintings for sale. I asked them why their paper didn’t warp since they were obviously not using canvas. She said it was the paper she used. I think it was called arches, but I could be totally misremembering. After that I had a whole new appreciation for watercolors done professionally.
